Niobium Jump Rings - Color
Niobium is a reactive metal. It receives its color due to anodizing with electricity. Batches of Niobium can be slightly different colors, just like dye lots, so be sure to purchase enough rings at one time to complete your project.

Since both electricity and light angle effect the color of Niobium, different sizes may not match exactly. Also, different gauges will look slightly different as the thickness of the different gauges reflect the light at different angles.

There can be a variation of color occurring in varying amounts from ring to ring and from batch to batch with Niobium. This color variation is a feature property that adds to the beauty of Niobium.

We anodize the rings after they are cut, so the color completely covers the ring, even the cut end.

Niobium Jump Rings - Cleaning
Oils from the skin can make your Niobium seem dull.  To clean Niobium, use a window cleaner (such as Windex) to polish.  Rinse and dry your piece completely to bring back the shine.

Niobium Jump Rings - Specifications

Our jump rings follow the American Wire Gauge (AWG), also known as Brown and Sharpe (B&S). All sizes listed are inside diameter (I.D.), measured in millimeters which corresponds to the size of the mandrel onto which the wire is wound. Use these I.D.'s as a guide not an absolute. The wire used to make our jump rings is of extremely high quality and made using an IOS-Certified production process. However, like all wire, there may be slight tolerances in size. Wire diameter may vary up to 0.03mm (0.0012”) larger or smaller than the listed size.

Occasionally you might get a misshapen ring or an end cut half ring. To account for this, we put extra rings in every bag.

Niobium is not available for returns or exchanges

**Important Notice: Orders with more than 2 packs of an item may be bulk packaged at WGM's discretion. However, colors and sizes will not be mixed in a bag.

I've ordered the Niobium rings in 2 other colors previously. Love them all. Colors are fantastic and rings are so easy to work with. I highly recommend and will continue to order these until I've got ALL the colors!

18 AWG Niobium Jump Rings, Misty Blue

This is my first experience working with Niobium rings and it won't be my last. I absolutely loved them. They're easy to work with and I love the color. These were the most expensive rings I've ever purchased, by the way. I will be ordering more in other colors when I want to treat myself!

    Amazing

I've recently started making chainmaille jewelry and wanted something very vibrant in my favorite metal, Niobium. I had previously ordered some from another company, but was left moderately disappointed. Shipping took forever, the colors were nothing like they were pictured, and there weren't very many in the package for the price. So I searched for another store, which led me to Weave Got Maille.

I'm blown away by everything about these rings and service. Not only did they get here in basically three days, the colors are exactly as pictured AND I got over twice the number of rings for less than I paid on the other site. I've already used my Tidal Pool and Mulberry Shimmer to make a helm weave necklace that I've not taken off since I finished with easily half of the smaller rings and a fourth of the larger left over. With the other site, I'd have run out long before I was finished.

I've already ordered three more colors and some aluminum ones, since the Niobium ones exceeded my expectations so. I'm also about to make my third order in a week, I can't get enough of these rings!

    Only one negative...

    Nov 6th 2018

Colored Niobium is a fine basis for weaving earrings, bracelets or necklaces. Colors are strong and bright, the metal malleable as sterling and the end product saleable.
The one negative is that it cant be polished.

I make many of these items but the color dulls an fades in a year or so.Which does not make for happy customers. S I give the Niobium jewelry as gifts to people who understand that it has a limited life depending on how often it is worn...

    Exquisite

    Jun 22nd 2017

If I had to choose one word to describe the Niobium jump rings, it would be, "stunning." My daughter-in-law may have a metal allergy so I bought a few colors and a few different size Niobium jump rings to make stacking bracelets. Happily, I should have enough to make a few bracelets for myself as well! They close beautifully, the colors are lovely, and the unanodized is perfect as well.

Clarity and color of WGM's niobium is excellent !

    Apr 14th 2017

The shine and quality of color in the 18 gauge rings from WGM has consistently been outstanding. I like the slight variation within the colors which allows for blending of a light and darker shade of the same basic color. Usually the rings are very shiny which I like - only one order came with a much duller rose shade which I had to be sure to use separately. I am always blending colors, so slight variations which is expected does not concern me. I would highly recommend WGM, and their customer service is outstanding. I usually weave with gold and silver, so this is my first year working in niobium.
