I wanted this kit to start learning how to capture gems in weaves. The written and photographic instructions were awesome. I had some issues with the placement of the gem, mostly my fault. If you get the kit I would recommend on the last 6 rings doing the middle one first to hold the gem in. I'm not sure what I think of the pendant as a whole which is where it got the 4 stars, but my husband thinks the pendant is pretty and neat. Due to the gem I do consider it more intermediate level, but since I haven't been doing chainmaille long I think someone could do it taking their time.
